Dr Kelly is a Clinical Psychologist working in private practice. She has previously worked for various NHS Trusts in London, Surrey and Kent in child and adolescent mental health teams (CAMHS), in community and inpatient adult mental health teams, at the Priory Hospital as lead psychologist for their Adult Asperger Unit treating those with comorbid mental health issues and also Beacon House, a specialist therapeutic services and trauma team.
She has extensive experience working with children and families in medical settings having worked at the Evelina Children’s Hospital at Guys and St Thomas’ NHS Trust in London for over 10 years. Here she was the clinical lead for trauma, responsible for developing and running a trauma-focused service.
Previously held posts include research roles at the Institute of Psychiatry and Kings Centre for Military Health Research. She also has close links with the Salomons (Canterbury Christ Church University) Clinical Psychology Doctoral Course.
Dr Kelly has over 15 years experience of working therapeutically with adults, adolescents, children and families, both in the NHS and private practice. She is an integrative therapist who works collaboratively with clients to help identify strengths and resources to alleviate distress and maximise wellbeing. She values a person-centred approach to therapy and offers a range of therapeutic approaches.
Dr Kelly has a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Salomons, Canterbury Christchurch University, an MSc in Occupational & Organisational Psychology from the University of Surrey, a BSc (Hons) Psychology from Southampton Institute, and a Practitioner Diploma in Clinical Hypnosis. She also has qualifications in EMDR (Levels 1-3), EMDR Advanced Skills & Child & Adolescent Training, EMDR with Children & Adolescents Following Medical Procedures, Brainspotting (Phases 1-3) and Brainspotting with Children.
